How to add a new domain to your Mom Webs hosting account Print

This article does not apply to our Mini Plan, as that plan only allows you to host one domain.  If you are using the Mini Plan and would like to upgrade so that you can add other domains please open a help ticket and request an upgrade.

To host additional domains at Mom Webs, login to cPanel and look for an icon labeled "Domains". Click on the blue "Create A New Domain" button and fill in the form that appears like this:

Domain The domain name - do not include "www", "http://" or "https://" in this field.

Document Root (File System Location)

Uncheck the box labeled "Share document root...."
Specify the directory Let cPanel fill this in for you.
Document Root You can change this if needed, but we recommend leaving it as is because cPanel sets it so that it will be clear where the site's files will be stored.

After filling in the form click the blue "Submit" button and wait a minute for the page to update.  Once the domain has been added you can install Wordpress on the site if you like by going back to the front page of cPanel, clicking on the "Wordpress Manager by Softaculous" button, and then choosing the Install tab.  Be sure to select the correct domain name from the drop-down box on the Install page.
