Meet a Mom Blogger: Life from my Laptop
August 20, 2008 by Kelly
Alyssa Avant has been mommy blogging since 2005, and her latest venture is called Life from My Laptop. (I just love that title, by the way.) It wasn’t until I was poking around on some older posts that I realized the name could be taken two ways. Either it’s a view into her life as told from her laptop, or life is actually springing forth from the computer. This idea is bolstered by the butterfly logo and is underscored by the fact that Alyssa is a work-at-home mom who does a lot of her business from that very same laptop.
The blog is sort of a hybrid of the personal blog and the business blog. Some days Alyssa talks about how she manages a schedule with three children under the age of five, and other days she talks more about her business ministering to young women. No matter what the topic, though, Alyssa is conscientious about giving praise and credit to God.
In general, Life from My Laptop is a friendly blog that shares a few links, contributes to a few memes, and offers a few chuckles from work-at-home mom land. Alyssa’s style is chatty and lively, and she obviously enjoys having this outlet for the excitement going on inside her very busy brain.
